We saw the waste firsthand.

Perfectly good windshields sitting in warehouses collecting dust — while shops down the road were scrambling to source the exact same parts. We knew there had to be a better way.

Collecting Dust

Good glass shouldn't go to waste.

Working in the auto glass supply chain, we saw the same thing over and over — windshields sitting on shelves for months, sometimes years. Overstock from bulk orders. Unique parts for vehicles that one shop couldn't move but another desperately needed.

Meanwhile, shops across town were burning hours on the phone trying to track down those exact parts. The inventory existed. It was just invisible.

That disconnect — surplus glass on one side, frustrated shops on the other — is why ALTGLASS exists. We built a simple marketplace to connect the two, so good glass finds the shops that need it instead of gathering dust in the back of a warehouse.
